I would toy with the "L" wire and see if you can get some charging. I'm not sure of toyota's strategy, but older fords had a problem if the charging bulb burned out. There may be something funky with how they designed that circuit to be completed. Best of luck!
This gun is win. I'm an auto tech by trade and gotta say, the IR design is used by Matco and Mac for their guns for a reason. Whether it's axle nuts, crank pully bolts or as mentioned siezed lug nuts, this thing is a jack hammer. I've had mine for 4 or 5 years now using it every day without...
I've had the dizzy off a tooth or 2. It ran, wouldn't restart once hot, but no dtc's. This is on a 92 as well. I would suspect a problem on that circuit. If you can swap PCMs with a known good, you might find a wiring issue.
Of course it is COMPLETELY unheard of for new parts to be bad...
For Cherokeekid, prolly went from a worn out oe temp stat to new 180. The t-sat opening that much sooner probably did keep the temps down. That 180 stat is wot at the same temp the oe one is just seeing some movement. No real surprise there. This is of course assuming the radiator, fans, and...
Something I haven't really seen anyone address on the whole t-stat issue: it is simply a bypass valve. Period. It does not "regulate" temperature. Coolant flow through different circuts is the means of reducing temperature. One circut is a heat source, the other a heat sink. When the...
Another idea for checking the filler neck for obstruction is to put gas in with a regular gas can. If there is a legitimate blockage, you should find out quickly. If not, I would suspect that the vent tube in the neck is the primary suspect.
Re: Fuel Fill Vent Line Clogged?
Ok, my bad on missing the part about fuel coming out of the filler neck. With tha being the case, do a visual inspection of the filler neck to see if there is any damage all the way to the gas tank. I haven't seen an 04 gc filler neck, but if you can fit a...
Re: Fuel Fill Vent Line Clogged?
Tell them to turn the nozzle 45 or 90 degrees and it should go full speed. If not, tell them to pull the nozzle out of the filler neck a little bit. If that tube was blocked, it would fill normally, until it fills all the way up the neck, flooding the...

Might want to look through the manual to see if there is an inverted polarity setting for the nss input, just a thought.
Just remembered, when I did my Honda that actually has a manual transmission, the unit will provide signal to the starting circuit simulating the clutch pedal being pressed...
