99 Cherokee UpCountry 4.0, auto, 4wd, all stock, 94k The rear diff makes noise when backing up in a turn, not going forward! Kind of a pop, pop sound. Fluid was recently changed, Mobile1 85-140. I assume it is the clutch plates, is this normal. The diff is tight when you try to turn one wheel?

Did you pick up the rectangle spacers that go between the hitch side plates and the frame rails? They should be 1" x 2" and 1/4" thick and large hole for the bolt. (2) of them should be spot welded onto the hitch and the other (4)pcs go in during install. You hang the hitch on the (2) back...
