Re: NPS connector Thanks. Found the harness. According to my FSM it is the neutral position switch, so I thought I was using the correct name.

OK, I have diagnosed that my NPS is acting up. In the FSM it states to do a continuity check between different pins on the connector. However, I cannot seem to find said connector. There are clearly wires going into the NPS but it looks like these wires enter via a plastic piece that is molded...

Re: are all xj doorss created equal? I think the change is around 97. I have swapped XJ doors from a 95 onto my 90 MJ without problem and have now swapped a set of 99 XJ doors (including the liftgate) onto my 97 XJ. About the only thing that seems a bit off for my 97 are some gaps at this point...

Update --- It turns out the problem is a finicky NPS. I wiggled the shifter around and now she starts up. Now I need to repair/replace the NPS without breaking it.:shiver:

Re: NPS connector Nope, not CPS but the neutral position switch. There is a diagram to check the connection between different pins in the connector depending on what gear setting you are on. I cant figure out where this connector is at.
