i have a garmin legend Etrex and it's been very good. has the street maps built in, but i can load topo (which i will). i'd save my money and time on the class, you can use it with the manual and teach yourself all you need to know. i'm a well tender and have to learn another guys wells. got a...
www.4wd.com or quadratec should have the poly ones. they hold up longer and fit more snuggly being a harder material. never tried the replacement rubber ones.
okay, so did a quick search, here's the link

negative caster gives the "shopping cart" steering where it's squirrely, easy to turn, but doesn't want to return to center. positive (too much) caster will make it harder to turn, wants to stay on center. as bubba pointed out, you introduced negative caster when you pointed the pinion upward...
cool pics! i've always wanted to try that. gonna start lowering my cherokee right now. NOT! i think one of those cars was a subaru imprezza. used to have a ford fiesta and it would have kicked it in rally racing. that kent 1.6L had great torque. i went from the stock 12" wheels/tires to 13"s and...
Re: Got XJ stuck on test drive minor damages.. how should I handle this? + clutch problem
my guess is he's put "normal" fluid in there before and if you look down on the floor below the clutch master you'll see where fluid has been seeping out. i had fluid seeping from mine till i read about...
my 2001 XJ has the 16" wheels and as cool as they look i'd rather run 15" wheels/tires. does anyone know if there's any reason why i can't use 15" rims? brake calipers or such? TIA.
yeah, thanks for the advice and i'm just takin' it in. i work a bunch of long hours and don't really have time to do it myself, which was my first thought. it's a nice vehicle and worth it, but keep thinking how i could be buying a lift and some other goodies.
local jeep shop wants $1000 to replace my leaking evaporator. seems crazy, i know they have to pull the entire dash and the air bag and all, but $1000? i like my cherokee and know finding another 2001 limited laid out this way would be pretty tough. should i just bite the bullet and go for it...
"aren't you likley to find Brown ice"
bet it was "brown ice" as they started to spin toward the edge!! wonder if the white cushion helped as opposed to just landing on "soft rocks"? okay, so now i'll sell my XJ and buy a minivan............not! although black ice did destroy my last XJ.
i had a friend put hellas on his exploder and they had to have a dedicated ground for the relays to work. he asked me why and i didn't have any idea, but after searching online i saw that some are set up that way. you'd think ground is ground, ultimately ending at batt -? check yer destructions...
glad to hear others are using synthetic in the Tcase. i'll be changing mine out this week for a run this weekend and wanted to go syn. pretty big on mobil1 so most likely will run it. haven't used B&M in my cherokee, but have been running it in my scoutII (727 trans) and it's great stuff. tranny...
guy on one of my radio programs said it well, "don't crash the party then complain because the beer is warm". boycott my a$$. i'd have protested the protest, but i had to go to work with my lousy american work ethic.
all stock now with 225/75/16s and 3:55 gears/auto trans. got an average of 21.25mpg on a recent highway trip, but around town i'm averaging around 17 to 19mpg.
