    Renix=slow HO=fast!

    60mm throttlebody seemed to help my displeasure. still seems alittle doggy, but she is a sub 200hp brick

    Alittle update here. Took Jeep to the Dunes (MI) figured out that the TCC was not locking on the trek up, fixed that. Did some drag racing with the 2000 Jeep I am referring to. I pull 2 lengths on him in a 4wd sand race! His still feels like it has so much more pep in normal, non WOT...

    The pep is amazing compared! Something is very different here. I believe the Renix is running properly

    Stock powertrains, both had 3in lifts with new 31s, same wheels. Very good comparison

    Basically heres my question: If someone put you into a Renix blindfolded and same with HO, should you be able to tell a significant difference? Throttle response, Torque, ect? Because I would be able to tell blindfolded, drunk, and half sleep. It was that big of a difference and I am not sure why.

    Yeah I have been through the grounds and cables, bypasses the C101 for the sensor ground among other things (ground refresh) Like I said, it runs ok...until I drove a stock HO with same mods...massive difference. Something is not right.

    I have the switch. Not the issue, it was the instant HP

    no cat...PO "unclogged it" tail pipe seems to be flowing smoothly Basically what you guys are saying is there shouldn't be a massive difference in feel.

    This felt like the a huge difference, the throttle response was a night and day difference.

    to be honest, I broke the knock sensor while rerouting the coolant temp to the t-stat housing. There was no noticeable difference before and after the breakage occurred. I will have a new knock sensor when the mail man brings it.

    it was night and day difference, too much to ignore. Maybe it was the biggger TB but it was significant

    So I recently bought a 1988 Renix and have been getting it running for the winter here. I replaced most of the sensors and have done Cruisers checks and mods. Overall I believe it runs pretty well. Shes not the fastest thing but does the job. Then I drove a 2000 XJ with the same 3in lift and 31s...

    Renix Manual ECU in AW4 with CPS mod

    I am ready to try the CPS high altitude mod with enlarged holes to get my .35AC voltage up to .5AC on my 1988 and get alittle timing in the process. Now here is my question: I just stumbled upon a 429 ECU. Manual ECU obviously I read that they work just fine in an Auto, but I also read that...

    Renix issue (hot restart, closed loop)

    I have added: Engine to firewall Battery to RENIX block ground Battery to front header eliminated ground slice at c101/wired 5V together from site. I still get a 2ohm restistance on ground on all locations, even at the new 5V splice.
