Ive been extremely happy with my 3" rough country lift on my 89 XJ. I got full springs, shocks, and adj lowers shipped to me just under 600.

I just ordered my 3" kit from Jason at RC....should be a perfect fit for my 31's and be a awesome DD, light to moderate wheeler here in Tx.

FM are loud...if you want quite but still some performance gains, get the Dynomax cat back...it is right around 100 mark and a nice cat back system...it has a slightly more aggressive sound but it is not much louder than stock.

can you wait a little bit longer? Smittybilt is coming out with a fully water proof winch towards the end of March or April...

What do you need? I work at the 4WP in Plano,Tx. We have several XRC8 winches, some with steel cable and some with synthetic. Also have XRC10's. Are you in spring, Tx?

AFAIK, RE is currently shut down for 30 days...they are fixing the bushing issues and to do it right, they had to shut down to focus 100% on this major problem. It isn't a money issues, bankruptcy or new management.

How does the XJ do with that big KLX on the hitch carrier?

KJ's are surprising offroad....rock sliders and belly armor for sure and the basically just slide over everything. My Buddy has a 07 with a 2.5 lift, sliders, all the availalbe underside armor, TJ rubi takeoffs with 265/70/16's and it more or less can run 3's at our local parks. I belive he...

yep, I have...ES3000, which is a standard hyd. shock. rides fine as long as you run a es3000 or an MX6 in a softer setting. I'll more tan liekly upgrade to MX-6 shocks.

I've never had an issue with PC shocks....they have a lifetime warranty....so when they leak I bring em back and get new ones.

I've heard a lot of people complain about RE bushings lately. Never heard any bad things about BDS...seem to have a fantastic, if under the radar, rep.

RE has a great rep for sure....but I've ridden in a few 3.5" equipped XJ's, and unless they are loaded down with gear, or a roof rack, or tire carrier, they ride like crap. (yes, its a jeep, no I don't expect it to ride like a caddie, but I do expect a compliant ride, not a stiff, jarring one.)...
