    D30 locker sounds horrible

I can live with it if thats the way it suppose to sound. It does it mostly making a left hand turn at pretty much any speed. Going a little faster it's less violent, but say ya whipping into a stall or making a left hand turn at a light or stop sign it sounds nasty. Crunchy, clunking ...

    D30 locker sounds horrible

It's probably a month or so old. Been on a couple trail trips. It sounds terrible when in 2wd and making a turn. Clunks and bangs. I've had rear lockers before and never sound like that. As for gear oil I put in 75w90. Maybe thats the problem. Wouldn't think so but who knows.

    D30 locker sounds horrible

I have a Spartan locker in my front Dana 30. I did not install the shims as it says not to. Issue is it sounds horrible when turning. Or at least it sure sounds like the locker. Anybody else found this with the spartans? Or know why it sounds so bad? I'll try to post a video of it

    Not flexing after lift

I'm actually going to try this lol. Good way to tell if the shocks are long enough.

    Not flexing after lift

The shocks I used are RC shocks. They measure at: Extended Length: 26.04 inches Collapsed Length: 15.39 Inches Extended Length: 25.82 inches Collapsed Length: 15.42 Inches Seems good for a 5.5 in the front and 4.5 in the rear. Am I wrong on this? Also I grinded out the lower...

    Not flexing after lift

At lunch I loosened and retorqued everything. I flexed it with the forklift and managed to get 24 and a bit inches from the bottom of the front tire to the ground. Actually seems pretty decent really. The control arms I have are RC lowers. I also found that they are binding on the bracket...

    Not flexing after lift

Not sure if this is the right section as well as I did and search and came up empty handed. I installed a 5.5" in the front and 4.5" AAL lift into the rear of my XJ. Adjustable control arms, adjustable trackbar, longer shocks, no sway bars. I took it out for a shake down and to see what it...

    Front end noise after lift

Ya i'm thinking the ball joints could stressed now and could be causing the noise. This literaly started after I pulled the jeep out of the garage after installing the lift

    Front end noise after lift

Adjustable control arms, not sure of the exact pinion angle. I did find that the trackbar bolt had come loose. I tightend that up and driving in a straight line it seems good. It's only making the clunky sound now when turning left only now.

    Front end noise after lift

I couldn't find any play in the ujoint or hub when I checked. I can't see it being anything else tho.

    Front end noise after lift

XJ lift. 5.5" front 4.5 rear. When driving you can hear a vibrating kinda crunchy, humming sound coiming from the front end. It's also make a nasty popping, clunk kinda sound when turning left but nothing when turning right. Did a 1.25" TC drop, changed the track bar, had an alignment done...
