need torque specs for 8.8 carrier

The Yukon Gear install guide shows 60ft/lbs for both the ring gear bolts and the carrier bearing caps for a ford 8.8. Hope this helps

Waggy D44 Driver Side Drop (IL)

I'm going another route with my project. I have a early 80's waggy dana 44 for sale. 61.5" WM to WM. This is a easy bolt in for a YJ. The axle is complete but taken apart(30min reassemble). Includes nice Mile Marker hubs and brand new calipers and pads(in the box). Tie rod and partial draglink...

    waggy wide track dana44 shafts?

I ran mine in a J20 housing with 5.13s, a detroit and 38.5 SX's and they held up pretty well. Definetly use the full-circle snap rings. The Moser shafts will accept these. I think even Moser sells the snap rings. There's also a lot of u-joint options. If you're going for the cheaper...

Are the MJ and XJ shackles interchangeable? They look about the same to me.

    Any middle IL people????

Thanks guys. In consideration for my build, what kind of terrain do you guys usually see out here? I don't know if I should just keep it simple with 33's or go for 35/36s. I know there's a big difference in set-up to fit the bigger tires. I'm use to playing on the rocks so this MJ is getting...

I purchased these rims at Goforth Tire in Kodak, TN. The phone # is 865-933-3175. Yes they where 32 bolt.

    waggy wide track dana44 shafts?

Mosser or Dutchman can hook you up 4340 alloys to your custom length. I've had both. I feel that the mossers are superior to the dutchmans b/c they have a lot more metal around the u-joint ears. They both have about a 2 day turn-around after you give them your measurements.

    New Beadlocks

I would highly recommend the Allied Rock-A-Thons over the Eatons. I paid $150 per wheel for 32 bolt 15x10 8x6.5. I believe the eatons are only 16 or 18 bolt and supposedly have really weak outer rings. A lot of the rigs I've been around with eatons actually show a lot of warpage of there...

    Any middle IL people????

I'm curious if there's anyone around the peoria, IL area or even a 100 radius? I've recently moved here from TN and I'm trying to get the low down on 4x4 activity in my area. I've had a lot of offroad toys but my move to IL required me to travel real light. It didn't take long though before I...

izuzu 12 bolt into a XJ

The isuzu 12-bolt has a WM to WM of 59". The lug pattern is 6x5.5. LockRight use to make a locker for this axle but has discontinued it. Matt Brown from Independent4x.com sells axles, gears, 3rd members and the ARB for this particular axle. DirtyMJ is correct about getting the yoke off of a...

    AX15 2wd to 4wd mainshaft swap

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to buy a remanufactured 4wd AX15 off of ebay. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a easier/cheaper route by reworking my existing tranny.

    AX15 2wd to 4wd mainshaft swap

Has anyone changed a 2wd AX15 from a 2wd configuration into a 4wd? I have a 2wd 1992 4.0 comanche 5spd. I don't know if it is possible to remove the 2wd tail-housing, disassemble the whole tranny and reassemble it with a 4wd mainshaft. Is the case any differn't after you take off the 2wd tail...
