Oil Pump Issues on 1990 XJ

I just did a full tear down of the 1990 4.0 and got it back together. I changed the rear main seal, valve cover, front main, timing cover gasket, filter adapter O-rings, and the oil pan gasket. I get it back together and fire it up to check for leaks and no oil pressure...I shut it off...

    Broken AC line coupler

Still looking for a source for this coupler, or if anyone has removed the AC from their XJ and would like to get rid of their coupler, let me know. Or if they have a spare XJ/MJ, maybe even YJ for parts, and it has the same coupler, give me a shout, thanks...

    Fixing Oil Leaks

Plus this Gasket don't act like someone JB-welded the oil pan on when you go to remove it. I ran into that problem on the oil pan on this 4.0, I have to beat a pickle fork (ball-joint separater) down both sides of the oil pan to get it to break free, like someone had Used JB-weld instead of a...

    Fixing Oil Leaks

I took the timing cover off and used a punch to knock the seal loose on the edge and then my regular seal puller worked like a charm. Be very gentle with the punch, you do not want to scar the inside of the timing cover. I just changed all the same gaskets on a 1990 XJ, and I would make one...

    Broken AC line coupler

According to this link it says there is 2 of these fittings in the system, 1 at the condenser and 1 at the dryer, it says the guts can be discarded but the broken part is this coupler, not the internal spring part. I will post a pic. The part # for the coupling is discontinued and I can't find...

    Broken AC line coupler

    Broken AC line coupler

I had the coupler on one of my AC lines break and every time I think I found the right number for it, it comes back discontinued. It isn't a normal coupler, it has a valve inside. The line runs from the expansion valve to the drier, all the pictures show the line running from the expansion valve...

    AC line and Coupler Question

I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Laredo Automatic with AC issues. I cannot tell if it is dealer or factory installed but I can't find any diagrams that are exactly like the routing of my AC lines. Most diagrams I found are for "factory installed" AC. I had a coupler break on the AC line that runs...
