What did you learn at Moab in 2023?

Upgrade your tazer and you will get even more buttons like cutting brakes using the ABS. :)

What did you learn at Moab in 2023?

The JL Rubicon Xtreme Recon package on stock 35's works really well. It also knocked down almost 20mpg driving too and from Moab.

In Moab now, looking for all the XJ's.

We're all old and driving new jeeps. DC2 with the Rubicon and I know Matt is here in his Gladiator.

    Booster/MC Upgrade Question

They're all 1" master cylinders. It's easier to do the whole unit with master cylinder/proportioning valve though.

Project Unicorn - a light duty trail rig

Wasn't sure, this was a 2wd that I shoved a high pinion in, a low pinion would've had tons of room. This one took some heat and some love.

    XJ radiators, a review.

I think a problem a lot of guys see and don't realize is that after 140k miles or even north of 100k miles the timing chains on these engines are pretty much shot. I know a couple guys who replaced everything, water pump, radiator, hoses, etc with good stuff and still had engines that ran...

Project Unicorn - a light duty trail rig

When I put that HP 30 in the 2wd 2000 (CA emissions), the yoke was maybe 1/4" away from the down pipe. It was quiet until you took a right hand turn then it self clearanced. Ended up having to add clearance to it. Just something to keep in mind.

Some Details About a PSC SP1205C Power Steering Pump

Does the PSC pump flow more than a stocker? I'm still running an oem chrysler pump on mine. One thing I learned from Dustin Webster is that the hydraulic tractor oil from amsoil works great for power steering also.

    Pre-2000 camshaft washer

I know russ has some because he commented on how those are hard to find when I dropped an engine and an extra cam off to him. :)

Anyone know the book hours for oil pan R&R?

Is the jeep lifted? That makes a huge difference, otherwise you have to droop the suspension out, disconnect shocks, etc.

    Auxiliary Radiator

How many miles on the engine? If it's north of 100k, your timing chain is probably junk. Check it, it can cause the engine to run hotter than normal also.

    Steering Box/Junkyard Upgrades

Durango box has an internal spacer that needs to be removed to get the same turning radius. 3 bumps on the end cap need to be ground flush, and there's a spacer ring at the other end. Been down this path, still cracked frame rail on 33's. My solution was a stock box and a 1.5" 6" ram...
