LOL, that's funny. .22 is about the scarcest thing out there right now. At least you can find PMags and .223, no .22LR though. It sucks.

.40 is one of the worst for brand new gun owners, women in particular. Everyone has a cop friend that will tell you to buy a .40. .40 is most difficult to handle recoil of the three major semi-auto calibers. It's also expensive and hard to find ammo. I would suggest an M&P 9mm full size...

Yeah, we need more details for sure. What will the primary purpose of this gun be? Home defense? Concealed carry? Recreation? Have a strong preference one way or the other concerning semi-auto or revolver?

Nearly too late for that too like you mention. You can find presses and other gear, but components are hard to come by. I'm waiting on a shipment of 10k small pistol primers that were in stock when I ordered a month ago. I pray that they actually get here so I have enough ammo to shoot this...

That sucks. Jax is a pretty killer store. I've only been to the flagship store in Ft Collins once, but it was sweet. They're more like a fancy/better Sportsman's Warehouse. Their hunting/gun section is only a small part of what they do.

BTW, I was passing my local BWW this morning so I curiously pulled in to check the front door. Not posted at the one on South Wadsworth. Everything I'm reading says it's a corporate policy, and not up to the location manager.
