Im having this exact issue on my 96. Tps sensor did not fix it for me.

Hey, So I have a 1996 Xj its automatic and have been trying to find this issue with no luck. It has almost no power from a stop when the transmission is in D. When I put it into 1st and 2nd from a stop it drives just fine though. So basically I can manually shift through all the gears by hand...
