Anybody ever think of lubricating --all -- the moving parts -- Geez ? dont use WD it is actually a drier after all,think about it,it will dispell water etc.

Old school here ,still use the hand pumper upper. It works, just cant be in the hurry to get back to wurk the next day :greensmok

Yea ,use the synthetic,that way you can replace all the seals and gaskets and crap! 10/30 is fine in my opinion. You know ,just the regular oil that has been used for years and years.

Maybe put some pressure on it to get it to come out,it should i would think. Short of replacing everything i would maybe try one of those rubber plugs that has the bolt in it that you can tighten down so it expands? Might work ?? Good luck

Just what is it again that you gain by using synthetic oil in an older engine? Lets see? that would be added cost,oil leaks that never end,funky engine knocks because of worn in bearings,which would be normal i would think? Guess i just dont get it,can anyone please explain to this old...

Burping the nipples is actually pretty important. When you replace the plugs wires and then go to put them on the distributor cap they will most always try and back out because of the air thats trapped in there. Just take a small phillips screw driver or some such thing and push it in...

One thing i always do is - burp - the nipples. Yup ,thats right ,just where they go on to the distributor cap anyway. Anyone else ever do this?

Why not? Just because it isnt over advertised in a catalog doesnt mean it wont work with a little thought. So ya,be different,or better yet ,make one up yourself.

Wouldnt have one myself,actually i do have one in my mountain jeep but have never used it. It is however broken down and bolted down in various places , them things are dangerous in my opinion as most guys dont put a chain or a strap between the axle and the frame? to prevent it from streching...

And maybe some sort of screen on the windows to keep the bugs out at night and still let in fresh air. Have fun guys ,good ideas.

I like my Cooper SST,s myself. Quite ride on the road and a good tread pattern as well. Just my 2 cents
