When pulling a 4.0L motor should I undo the torque converter bolts before I pull the motor or can I do it out of the vehicle? I was not going to drop the transmission. I need to pull it to get to the freeze plugs near the fire wall.

My dads did this, drove me nuts for a while. His motor mounts were shot as well as his tranny mount. The transmission fill tube rubbed through the wiring harness up where the dip stick is. It would only ground out if he was going up hill or making turns, other wise it ran fine.
