I've been trying to find an extended idle switch, however, they are no longer being offered new. I did manage to snag one of the last four-switch bezels new in the country. Paid over $140 unfortunately...
However, on to the brakes and shocks, I believe the shocks have a slightly longer...
My Jeep was previously a police vehicle but not a police package. I can get nicer and cheaper brake parts from Rock Auto, just want to make sure there isn't fitment issue. Primarily just interested in front brake pads, rotors, and shocks.
I'm thinking about putting police package brake pads on the front of my SE XJ. I would imagine this would require upgrading to the bigger discs as well. Would the caliper be different for these?
Also considering XJ police package shock absorbers.
I need a factory fog light switch for a 97-01 XJ
I need a hitch nut-strip which goes on the left hand side frame-rail.
I also am looking fora set of take-off Rubicon shocks.
Aaron here, I live in the Crawfordsville area (about 42 miles west of Indianapolis). I've got a beat-to-piss 99 XJ that I'm slowly trying to make something out of.
It started out as a minor annoyance but now I'm on a mission to find out what the problem is. If it's a matter of soldering something I'm down, just need to know what. It has to be a broken connection somewhere. I'm about ready to just run a seperate wire from the cluster down to the switch.
The gear selector in my 99 junked. Here's the problem-
Couldn't get the Jeep to shift from park. I got pissed and jerked real hard on the t-handle, which came off in my hand. Couldn't get the t-handle back on so I slammed it down. Now, inside the shifter handle is a plastic rod. At the top...
My part-time light has not worked since I bought the Jeep. I have tried the cluster self-test several times to no avail. I pulled the cluster and swapped bulbs around, even though the bulbs in part-time and full-time seemed OK (I have a full-time bulb even though I have an NP231). Still...
I've got a set of steel five-star rims off my 99 XJ sport for trade. No center caps. I'm in serious need of some decent all-terrain tires (2). I've got a pair of Firestone Destination AT's already, and need two more for the front. I need 225/75/15. I'd trade the rims for a pair of those or...
Are you looking at an FSM for a 99? Because that's what the blend doors are controlled by, an electric stepper motor. There is no cable that I see coming from the HVAC control unit for temperature. The electric motor has a plastic axle that goes inside the bottom of the heater box. This is...
I've already flushed the heater core three times and the entire system twice. Nasty black crud flowed out and then was crystal clear. The motor controlling the blend door is electric and controlled by the dial and I've already confirmed it's function.
