I have used Rusty's parts in the past and liked them a lot and would probably buy them again. I did have a bad experience with him when he sent me shocks that were way too long and he wouldn't take them back and he kept insisting that they would work for the amount of lift I had but they didn't...
I agree with you on the Ranchos been way stiff. I replaced mine with some Bilstein 5150s and the difference is night and day.
I've really enjoyed the Bilstein shocks and would recommend them to anyone. I currenty run 8" of lift but not with SJ springs so I can't give you any input on how...
On an 89' a 2" lift shouldn't be a problem with just spacers. Later model XJs get driveline vibes at that height but you should be perfectly fine on the 89. You may just want some longer shocks but they most likely wont be necessary.

Unfortunatly the remote bass control for that amp is no longer avaliable. A/D/S was bought out by directed several years ago and when it did we sold off all the b-stock and misc pieces to recoop looses and get a/d/s back on it's feet. I do have a detailed specs sheet for that amp and x-over...
Hehe just wait until I get my setup finalized for my RAM. 2 Orion H2 10" Dual Voice Coil woofers each powered by it's own 2400 watt directed amp. I have most the equipment but have yet to figure out how I will arrange it.

A/D/S, good choice! :-) I just happen to work for them. But I like to live by the "go big or go home" motto:

Ya only need .33 Cubic feet if you feed it enough power :-)

You could also just totally bypass the temp switch and wire the fan to run constantly. No new t-house needed, no temp switch to deal with and best of all it's free and it takes about 2min. to do. I've run this setup and it works great.

I recently purchased a c4x4 bumper (http://www.custom4x4fabrication.com/prorock2.jpg). I ran into 2 snages when trying to install it. 1. There is an "L" bracket that mounts to the front of the unibody and one of the holes is blocked by a rubber spacer that the steering box is resting on, on the...
