9V at the battery, so have it checked. It's probably bad.
Once the Batt is OK, check/change the relay. Check/clean all connectors that may have been under the mud. The PDC will probably be OK after some treating with contact cleaner (take it out of its bracket and inspect the connections from...
First, you have to get that starter going. Did you check the relays in the PDC (fuse/relay box in the right side of the engine compartment) and all connections as well as the battery?.
Once the engine turns over with the starter, let us know what your symptoms are.
Run a search: there's something about protecting the injectors from overheating in these contidions.
Specifically about injectors 3 & 4.
Probably when you squirt the fuel from the rail, you're also letting the vapors out.
Rethinking... The transmit line (pin 7 at the DLC) is also labeled ISO 9141K in the manual. If this protocol is bidirectional, you probably don't need pin 6.
In mine, just in case, I rewired 6 & 7.
EDIT: Confirmed: you don't need pin 6 for ISO-9141. The whole SCI confusion came from the FSM...
OK. SCI stands for Serial Communication Interface.
Your PCM is in the engine compartment, at the front left corner. Right behind the left headlight. It has three large connectors: C1, C2 and C3; C1 being the foremost and C3 the last to the rear.
SCI signals travel in both directions: from PCM to...
Sorry. I double checked the FSM and the SCI pins at the DLC are 6 & 7 (not 1 & 6). These are the ones you need.
The CCD Bus goes in 3 & 11.
4 & 5 are grounds
16 is Battery (+12V)
Pins 27 and 29 of connector C3 (rearmost connector at the PCM) correspond to pins 1 and 6 of the Data Link Connector (OBDII). I had to wire these directly once, bypassing the Harness. It worked.
Maybe not the best, but Champions run fine. The coils are quite long-lasting. If your misfire is only one cylinder, then check the plug. If it were a coil, you'd probably have two cylinders missing.
I think 92Xjs have the external SC. Someone will correct me if not.
In that case, changing it is easy and doesn't require separating the tranny. The toughest part is bleeding it right.
First, detach the hydraulic line. The SC is attached to the bellhousing by two bolts. Take them out, and the SC...
