Alright so I recently purchased a 98 cherokee sport with the factory fob and keyless entry. There are stickers on the window that say TRIAD security system but it seems like that has been disabled at some point because nothing happens when you hit the truck or while opening the locked door...

I'm not saying I'm going to drive it around like this I was just wondering why it would still run if the cps was bad. Also I did a test on it with a voltmeter and a guide I found online and everything checks out on the cps.

Thanks guys I decided to order the HS9076PT-3 fel-pro kit so I could just replace all the of the gaskets while I had the engine apart.

Hey guys I just removed my head today because I suspected a head gasket leak but I found out that it was a fel-pro HS 9076 PT-1 and I had read that my 98 cherokee sport takes the HS 9076 PT-3. Could this be a problem or are all the 4.0L gaskets the same? Thanks guys
