    Beat the Heat

The water heater blanket is about a half inch thick. Yes I have tinted windows, the Jeep is silver, the A/C is up to par, the hood is vented, don't want the carpet and doors are nice on a daily driver. Will try to get some pics up soon.

    Beat the Heat

I was trying to come up with some kind of heat insulation for the drive train tunnel in my XJ. I live in FL and during the summer the A\C can't overcome the cab temps. I have no carpet and herculined the floors so Dynamat will not adhere to the surface. I bought a water heater blanket at Home...

    Trac Bar end upgrade

Well the 88 XJ is actually my son's ride. We bought it when he turned 16 as a first vehicle to drive to school. After alot of repairs, upgrades, paint, A/C work, lift, tires, bumpers etc. he's still driving it 5 years later. My ride is a 05 Rubicon on 35's (my sixth jeep). I've met with TCJC a...

    Trac Bar end upgrade

Thanks for the info. I just saw their new one on the RC site and it is very similar to Rusty's. Probably just go for the "lifetime" parts for now and go heavy duty later as I want to upgrade to a long arm eventually.

    Trac Bar end upgrade

Have a RC 4.5 lift with adjustable trac bar. Have worn out 2 rod ends with moderate wheeling and only 31's. Does anyone know of an upgrade or better grade rod end other the the replacement from RC. Part numbers would be great. Thanks...........

    Dim headlights with a\c

Thanks for reply. I have not checked actual volts yet but know the alternator is newer and is 105 amp. Will check grounds first.

    Dim headlights with a\c

Sorry, I tried "search" but no luck. This is an 88 6cyl. auto. The voltmeter reads between 13 and 14 going down the road with headlights on but when I turn on a\c it drops to around 10 or 11 and the headlights dim. Is it a bad ground or should I be looking at a higher output alternator...

    Another AW4 Problem

To everyone that was following this thread it turned out to be the TCU. Bought a used one at the salvage yard, plugged it in and back to normal.

    Another AW4 Problem

Back again. Wiring to solenoids and solenoids themselves check out at 15ohms. Hooked up TCU and turned ignition on and have power to all three solenoids at same time in Park, Drive, 3rd and 1st-2nd. Hooked my Jeep battery with cables to XJ (which is my son's Jeep) to make sure I still have 12...

Also to "lawsoncl" the shift level connection you referred to, is it the plug above the neutral safety switch?
