Ah yes, you are correct... And thanks for the info... My XJ is a 99. It's just hard to tell what used to be on the end of the hose due to the apparent melting. I'll crawl under there again and get a better look at the hole in the diff housing to see if I can gain any clues.

Where the tube is connected to the diff housing, it is damaged. It almost looks like the tube got snagged on something, pulled off the pumpkin, and then sat on it and melted. My question is whether or not the tube connects to the diff via a fitting of some sort? OR can I trim off the damaged...

Hey guys, I have a new (to me) 99XJ that was purchased with a warranty. It needs new u-joints so I would like to take advantage of this warranty (instead of doing them myself) and get them replaced at a reputable shop that services jeeps. Any recommendations? Thanks!
