That's right, it will cost you about $300 to have someone replace the harmonic balancer. It will start to smack into your fan if it goes to long.

Ok, sorry about no specs. It is an '89 Limited, 4.0 V6, 87,000 original miles. It is completely stock, I have not had the funds to do anything to it yet. Also, the shaking is most pronounced in the pedals. Any other thoughts would help.

Every once in a while, while driving at highway speeds, i get a fairly pronounced shaking in the front end. It is a side to side, lateral shaking, then will go away. It also appears while under a hard braking situation. It comes and goes and is getting worse, or more frequent. Does anyone...

Thanks for the help, I got it taken care of. It was actually a torx fitting, but the manual said that it was an allen. It took me some frustration to actually get under far enough to see.

I have an '89 Limited that I'm trying to replace te front brake pads on. Does anybody know what size of allen wrench the caliper pins take? Please let me know, my brakes are grinding!
