I just took the pin and spring out of the junk yard ZJ with V8 and put them inside my existing block. Works like a champ.

A senior enlisted told me the other day that allot of them where dropping there paperwork. They are all over twenty so they already are eligible for retirement. I haven't heard anything from the junior enlisted. I have less the 3 years left till 20. I will stay longer if the economy is any worse...

I was able to get a little bit more done on the trailer today. My friend Eddie at Ground Pounder Fab was able to fabricate some braces out of some old angle iron I had for the tailgate chains. He does excellent work and is a good guy. I welded them on when I got home.

People hate Bush, but the top national concern this election was the economy... not like the last election. The top concern was terrorism. We have not had a single terrorist attack on our soil for quite a while. That says allot for me.

It was getting harder and harder to throw stuff in the back after I did the spring over. I carry around a generator sometimes and it was a bear trying to clear the tub by myself. The CJ tailgates are a perfect match and allot sturdier then just cutting out the back and making a tailgate out of it.

Hacked up my M416 to install a CJ tailcate. Welding old rusted 1963 steel to new 1/8" angle was a challenge.
