I've recently read that the only difference is the water pump gasket (the 89 was reverse rotation) and the valve cover gasket????????

By putting the 1989 2.5L short block in my 92 Wrangler, I'm mainly worried about the flywheel, crank position sensor, water pump rotation, and bolt holes...and if they will all match up.

Will a 1989 2.5L block swap with a 1992 2.5L? My 92 YJ 2.5L is hurting and I have a 89 YJ 2.5L block and head I want to put in. If I swap over everything including the fuel injection, distributor, serpentine belt, flywheel, etc., will everything bolt up to the 89 block & head? The cylinder head...
