Okay, so I bought this '84, 4cyl, 5spd xj for $300 and the fuel pump is bad on it. On the '84's is the pump in the tank? I'm not sure what the kid did, but he's got a universal pump stuck on the line coming out of the tank. I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do to fix his shenanigans.

I got a new, bigger, bolt in the axle end of the track bar. That seemed to fix the track bar moving around. It still wobbles though. I also put a new steering stabilizer on, that didn't help. I'm thinking it's either ball joints, or control arms.

I just had it aligned. It made the wobble start at a lower speed. And the tires are balanced.

Well, I'm pretty sure I've found what's causing it. The track bar at the axle end moves quite a bit. Probably a good 1/4" or so when the wheel is rocked back and forth. I think the bolt holding the bar in place has just worn down and is causing the track bar to move. I tightened the bolt as much...

I'll have a buddy rock the wheel while I look under it at work tonight. I have checked all the bolts on the bracket, they are nice and tight. The noise from the steering box has stopped. I added some leak stop to the PS Fluid and it seemed to fix it. Thanks for the help.

Well, the alignment did nothing but make it worse, now it starts wobbling at around 40mph. I rotated my tires because I thought maybe the front ones were just out of balance, but that wasn't it. I really don't want to go and replace everything in the front end but it's looking like I might have...

There was a guy today that thought I had a 2 inch lift when I have 4.5, with 33x9.50's. The tires do look smaller than 34" though.

I was cotemplating putting a detroit in my D30. It would still be streetable but in the mud it would help out a lot. If I run it on the street in 2wd then the D30 wont be locked right?
