I just put a 4L in one of my XJs that came from a donor vehicle......it ran great before I pulled it. It now runs like it's hitting on 4 cyls and throwing 1-3 and 1-4 codes. Since this sensor ain't exactly cheap I thought I'd look for confirmation from you XJ gurus before I start throwing...

Thanks for the reply Wayne. I have the dshaft off of the donor police package XJ, I assume I'll have to have it shortened? Anybody know joint to joint measure on that shaft?
I'm putting an AW4/242 out of a `93 police package XJ into a 2x `92. The PP had a d30 and the `92 has the 8.25. What will I have to do to make the driveshaft work? I'd like to get the work done before I start the project. Thanx!
Are the calipers the same on 2wd and 4wd XJs? I have to eek a few more months out of this 2x axle before the 4x goodies go in. Both are `92 but the 4x donor vehicle is ABS while the 2x axle is not. Thanx.
`92 4.0 AW4 2WD (soon to be 4X) As soon as it shifts into OD at 42 MPH it starts howling at me. Not real loud, you can't even hear it if the radio is on and it only lasts 10-20 seconds. It only does this since it got cold out and it only does it the first time it shifts into OD. It does this...
Will a 120 MPH police package speedo work in place of the std 85 MPH unit? Or will I need to swap the sensor/ecu? Not that I ever plan to actually hit 120, I like the 1 MPH increments on the PP unit.
Why the 242 over the 231? Just for the full time option? I'm building 2 XJs out of 3, one for trail and one for DD. I have one of each tcase, should I put the 242 in the DD or trail rig?
