I'll be replacing the Cylinder Head on my 90 4.0L this weekend, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what to look for whilst the head is off - I'm considering also replacing the rings, big ends and the oil pump at the same time -the engine has done over 200k miles and the oil...

You've got one without the heater. Given how critical the O2 sensor is to the engine running right, I'd drop the $50 and get the right part, especially if you have problems with the engine anyway.

Thanks guys - with the help of some PB Blaster, a new 10mm long ring spanner and a little more blood, I managed to get the nuts undone. They were well and truly rusted up. All I need to do now is wait to see how far I can go on the next tank of gas to make sure the diagnosis of a faulty ECU...

Just swapped the OEM cassette radio out of my 1990 Ltd last night... The OEM radio has a sticker on it - model no. 56002467. It had a single ractangular plug, not four seperate ones. Perhaps your vehicle had a special option system fitted. Wiring on my radio was Top row pins 1-7 from left...

Did you keep your old sensors? If so you could try swapping them back in, one at a time...
