What have you done to try and fix it? Try cleaning your throttle body, clean the IAT sensor, adjust your TPS. I had bad surging and backfire on my 88 a while back going freeway speeds and a certain throttle input. Unfortunately I dont recall what fixed my issue.

$3k for a 3.5" short arm lift and it still used the stock single sheer trackbar bracket.... ouch.

Are you needing the whole Fuel sending unit or just the lower pressure fuel pump? I understand that having the right year parts would be ideal to fix both problems but the fuel pressure and running rich I assume are the higher priority issues? I dont have any experience with the early engines...
