TPS high voltage at idle position

Okey then, replaced the Standard TPS with an Echlin. voltage with throttle closed is still high at 1.77 V. Is it possible that particular PCMs have give high idle voltages? the CEL codes are for high voltages on TPS and IAT. what is the best tape to rewrap wire bundles if I cut them apart...

TPS high voltage at idle position

thanks, Replaced the clockspring already. After replacing TPS, ÇPS,IAT, MAP, AIC, clockspring, PCM and fuel pump one at a time, it idles, no longer shuts off randomly, but hesitates when pushing on the throttle. And keeps showing those codes. Maybe I will try another TPS. Glen

TPS high voltage at idle position

My 1999 XJ 4.0L stick has CEL on and gives codes P0123 and P0113. With the key on, TPS has 5.2 V input. But output is 1.85-1.93 V with throttle closed and WOT reads just over 4 V. Swapped in my old replacement TPS and got same reading for fully closed throttle body. Could this be 2 crappy...

    Engine cuts out when accelerating

Took it out on the freeway today, first time since my wife had it towed home 6 weeks ago. The bucking and stuttering isn't just when accelerating. Going up any grade requires a light touch on the throttle to keep it running smoothly. Glen

    Engine cuts out when accelerating

I've been chasing engine problems and now stumped. The engine starts cutting out when opening the throttle to accelerate quickly (as in won't do it usually in 5th gear). CEL is on with codes P0123 and P0113, TPS and IAT sensor high voltage. Both sensors new, TPS input is 5.20 V, IAT shows...

    Intermittent volt meter

Engine off battery voltage is 13 V, running 13.77 V. Great, it's not alternator. I also noticed this afternoon that the oil gauge was pegged at 80 when the gauge warning light came on and the volt meter dropped. But, tonight, a 30 min. drive and all gauges displaying normal behavior. Now...

    Intermittent volt meter

Re: Intermittent ammeter Doh, correct, it is a voltmeter glen

    Intermittent volt meter

Hi, The volt meter drops to 0 and the gauge warning comes on about 5 min after starting the engine. This just started a couple of days ago. All else is working, although the speedometer needle flipped around a couple of times yesterday, but behaves normally since then. Is this a known...
