need a new steering setup (no drilling poss?)

You may not like the idea of a Currie set up but have you seen any one who owns one complain , I doubt it . How often do you add weight to the front of your Jeep and then remove it , most often if you add weight it stays there . Maybe you need to learn how to do your own front end alignment...

    tire eating problems

I agree , I have always been able to get it close but I never felt confident in my alignment until the alignment shop confirmed what I did and with oil prices doing what they are doing to prices of everything that has oil in it I recommend a pro alignment as soon as possible if for no other...

I see Quadratec has some that don't look bad . I don't know if they are new or not but they are in the catalog that landed here a week or so ago . I think maybe for next Summer .

What do I do for fender flares after cutting fenders?

I used 4 rear TJ flares . the rear I cut the bumper ends to match the flares so it looks almost like it did before anything was done . The front I cut the front off part way down the bumper ends . The rear half of the rears that gets mounted on the quater panel ,I cut about 2 " off where it...

    Lifting with stock control arms?

I usually do the same that way in the end I have what I want , I don't think any one Manufacturer makes all of the components I prefer . When choosing a track bar make sure if it comes with a mount of any kind it don't screw up your track bar and drag link relationship so ya don't create...

    DW fix?

wheel bearing or I think now it is a hub assembly can give DW along with worn out bearing in the steering box plus what you listed. I'd leave the steering stabilizer alone until you fix the DW . A steering stabalizer is to make the new parts you will add just last a little longer ,not a cover up...

Got my new 3.5" lift today, have a few questions...

the Springs have been around for a while on another xj I just put them on mine a month or so ago . It only has my fishing gear in it . I noticed before I had the sway bar connected it was softer . I dug up an old sway bar mount from one of my past vehicles . It has much larger rubber in it and...

    Steering Shaft/Box removal

Make sure you order just what you said a " new " box . Do not buy a remanufactered box unless it is from a company named PSC . From what I have read all of the rebuilds are done by the same company no matter which parts store you use ,which explains why I could not make one last if even felt...

    unintentional front swaybar delete

I guess maybe I didn't mention I installed the RE 3.5" lift and needed more so I added a 1.75" spacer which ment removing the 3.5" spring installing the spacer then reinstalling the spacer with no problem, thats over 5" of lift . As long as you support your chassis high enough and disconnect...

    unintentional front swaybar delete

been lifting trucks since late 70s never had a need for a compressor . If you jack up the front axle like you were going to change a tire and maybe a little higher put some support under the frame between the TC and the controll arm area remover the front tire . Ooops got ahead of myself...

Got my new 3.5" lift today, have a few questions...

I have the RE SF 3.5 W/1.75 spacer no isolator RE spring , 5100 Bilsteins and my ride is stiff as hell any ideas why . Shackles are not tight and move easily .

    33's on 3.5RE lift?

My 33" BigHorns fit fine with RE3.5 coils and rear pack then added rear TJ flares all around with as much triming as I could do and hide . I also added RE SF uppers and Lowers in case I needed to move the axle forward at all and for later if I decided to do a drop control arm bracket I could...

Got my new 3.5" lift today, have a few questions...

My isolator was trash so I used a 1.75 spacer w/no isolator 3.5" RE coils adj track bar , RE SF uppers and lowers in the front . In the rear 3.5" packs which end up about 4.25 or so plus I have the 8.25 rear so the axle tubes are a bit larger than one with a 35 so it all came out pretty level ...
