Gonna pass on the whole thing. Nobody wants spares or to be bothered with what could be a LP.

Thanks for your help. Agree the 35 wouldn't be anything but an anchor I wasn't sure about the front.

    99/2000'Axles

First to admit I know very little about XJ's. Crawled up from the basement to ask this basic question. Been offered a pair of axles from a 99/2000 XJ for 50 bucks. While I have no use for them I am thinking they could be flipped pretty easy. The rear looks to be a 35 from the picture so...

    4.6 build starts today!!!

I am being vague for a reason. Reasons that I consider private in nature. Be it for my customers or that of my competition. Despite what you may think of me on a personal nature the OP's numbers as presented are not factual. He is being as vague as I in presenting how the numbers were obtained...

You can call me any name you wish. Bottom line is the dyno printout may show you big numbers. What is missing is an accurate explanation of how those numbers were obtained. The overall TQ number and the HP/TQ spread simply doesn't make any sense. Add in the parasitic drag and the story becomes...

DynoJet chassis dyno to a CDS (Competition Data Systems) data logging system. One of the better comments in this thread.

I use a well respected orginazation that speiclizes in high performance. They use a name know brand dyno set to a 3300 lb load. The test starts at somewhere between 1800 and 2500 RPM with a 1:1 ratio. The test ends when power drops off, rev limit is reached or the owner of the test subject...

Nobody ever said they didn't know what they were doing. By your own admission they tested with various parameters. My only comments were that the end numbers didn't fit the model tested.

If they were NASA certified than we would know they were accurately obtained under industry guidelines.

Some of us are trying to be realistic.

One factor that has not been touched is how the dyno is set up. My testing is done with a 3300 lb. load roller. If the OP's dyno was set up to a lessor value that would explain the higher TQ numbers. The ratio may have been 1:1 but if the load is reduced the numbers would be skewed. Sorta like...

    4.6 build starts today!!!

All of my builds are with a 7120 or an 0630 head. Late model intake and a BBK 62mm TB. Several different headers but all are relatively the same. In addition the engines are OBD2 with aftermarket tuning support. Not saying the numbers are wrong but I am really struggling to understand the...

Good numbers but I am curious on how you got them. What I mean is after reading and rereading the thread I cannot see where you show a pull in 1:1 gear ratio. Which typically is how engines are measured on a chassis dyno. Several others have bought this up and unless I am missing it the...

    Extended Idle RPM

Did a bit of searching. Grounding the circuit bumps the RPM by approx. 250 RPM.
