Maybe I'm stating the obvious here, but it seems these companies price their respective sets of roller rockers according to the labor and expense of installing them, and not necessarily to compete solely on price of the rockers themselves.
For example, Summit Racing lists the Harland Sharp...
That says nothing about the ease of installation. I doubt changing the rocker arms would take more than two hours, working deliberately rather than quickly. Roller rockers make an instant and marked improvement in the engine's smoothness at all engine speeds; the crank scraper makes a slight...
Does anyone have experience with SplitSecond (www.splitsec.com) ? Here are the emails I've exchanged with their tech department lately:
9/5/2004:
Can you please advise me of everything I'll need to install an FTC1 into a turbocharged Jeep? I've got a freshly rebuilt 1982 258 (overbored 0.030")...
I hope the tone of my reply wasn't too harsh, Kevin, because at the end of the day I really liked what your product did for my ride.
And your thorough answers are exemplary of the kind of attention I received from you before, during and after I purchased and installed the crank scraper.

They quoted me $400 for just the manifold. The kit otherwise looks pretty complete for a Wrangler; however, I went through Corky Bell's books pretty thoroughly and came up with my own numbers by which to match compressor...
Trying to solve an argument here. My friend claims the Renix EFI was sequential, and I say it the injectors were batch-fired, and that the later OBD system brought the first sequential port injection to the stout old inline-6.
Anyone have a link or other hard info to solve this question?
Great thread!
I have a couple of questions for you, and bear in mind I'm a bit ignorant about XJ's. I'm piecing together parts needed to turbocharge a 258 with a 1993 4.0 HO head and EFI, to go into my 1982 Wagoneer.
Firstly, what year is your Jeep? I see that you used what looked to be an...
