JCR OR SMITTYBILT BUMPERS FOR 98XJ

I believe Smittybuilt rear bumper is a rated Class III hitch is why I would get it for towing while JCR is not rated, just a receiver.

    Battery Replacement

Mine's a 96 so there are differences, I have a group 34 agm from O'Reilly's but I usually buy from who sells them cheaper like Pepboys sometimes. Plus I have a cheap amazon 7.5w solar charger wired directly to the battery, up the side of the passenger door and cold weather zip tied to my roof...

    Dana 30 truetrac

Keep in mind if you're in a situation where the front wheels are just spinning and you're not going anywhere. Left foot brake and right foot gas, slowly keep applying the brakes power should be sent from the spinning wheel to the other side. If you remember too I'll yank up the handbrake then do...

    Dana 30 truetrac

No you cant just install the 29 axles in a 27, bearings different and will need to be machined out on the 27. First tho what are your plans for the Jeep? You said inclement weather then I would just go with the truetrac in the front and keep it "driveable". Locking the rear is do able and a lot...

aw4 trans cooler upgrade over stock

My jeep and van are running Tru Cool LPD4921,with a GVW of 34000 and btu rating of 34,000. Uses 3/8 barb fittings and I do not have any leaks. I use the included straps and self tapers to make a bracket to hold the cooler in front of the ac condenser. Reason I went with tru-cool is because they...

Test wiper delay box out of Jeep (84-96)

Or if you are just having problems I bought a used wiper delay box off ebay for $60 and it fixed my problems with my wipers. Saves time and headache

Test wiper delay box out of Jeep (84-96)

Looks simple enough to do if you have some electrical knowledge. Basically 12v in and grounds. You'll need the pigtails for the wiper delay module, and I would use a known good working wiper/washer switch. Then you just hook up your 12v battery and plug in the delay box. cheapest route would be...

I did buy this Spectra replacement tank and it was 20 gallons from Amazon linky mine was all dented on the bottom so I had problems fueling up and only held 15 gallons. Aw4 fluid change?

One option is to pull the return transmission fluid line from the cooler, put the end in an empty transmission fluid bottle with the capacity lines on the side, overfill the pan, turn on the jeep and shift thru the gears taking time in each. Keep an eye on the bottle you're filling up...

High Zinc Motor Oil & Flat Tappets

I'm running Rotella T6, it has less zinc with the newer formulation but I think its still higher then others. It's diesel oil that's why it has a higher zinc content. Walmart is usually the best place ~$22 a jug.

    Axles, lockers, driveshafts and SYE!?

What are your plans with your vehicle, what do you want it to do, and how often do you get "stuck" and shift into 4wd? I went with a front gear-type lsd for my mild off-roading and snow, more like fire roads and a couple times I went rockish climbing my 4wd pulled me thru (not hardcore like...

    Burning up my PCM

Check the wiring harness at the firewall going into the cabin, maybe possible water leaked into the harness and started deteriorating? I had this problem on my van (which is known by Chrysler), which had this problem. Right where the wiring loom cover ended and was taped together is where water...

    Burning up my PCM

Whenever a vehicle sits animals can cause problems to wiring. Since you heard a pop I would suggest looking into the wiring harness, something may be grounding out or possibly chewed wires from rats...
