Cruiser54, I have used that marking method also; For me making a short mark on each tire and then moving the vehicle so the marks are 180 degrees different is easier.

Anyone have experience in correcting "blow-by" problem (oil getting into intake filter)? I have a '89 Cherokee and a '88 Comanche, both with 4.0 inline; both with that problem.
My '88 4.0 has a high idle situation occasionally also. I see references to a potential problem, a "TPS" and that it can be tested with a multimeter. What does TPS mean, where is it located and how is it tested.
