99+ 4.0 Intake with Injectors....Previous owner filed some of the webbing out of it....but shouldn't affect anything at all. $100.00...if you are local...I may be able to meet up with you....otherwise shipping costs would be tacked onto the 100...let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks
This is VERY possible....I was going nuts thinking about the Jeep last night...so got up a bit early for work and stopped at the Junkyard on the way in (They only have 1 98 XJ...and it's getting picked over pretty good!!)...popped in...paid my dollar...and went to town grabbing that...
Unplugged the bolted in block...no corrosion that I can see...sprayed out and connected....unbolted connector under dash to the right of steering column (The BIG connector that is bolted together) No Corrosion...sprayed it out as well and reconnected....as near as I can tell...that harness...
In the picture of the JB....the plug in the upper left corner is where the light green with yellow stripe originates from and feeds into the main harness going out into engine compartment....and if it doesn't junction anywhere else....then I assume it comes back into vehicle and goes all the way...
That is unplugged as well (I have the headliner out at the moment)...No air bag/horn button or overhead light is plugged in and it still blows constantly with the relay and fuse in place....
The air bag module has the green with yellow stripe wire (That is supposed to be keyed only I believe)...
Messed with the XJ again half the night....I found constant power at the Air Bag Control Module wiring (Light Green wire with Yellow Stripe)with it UNPLUGGED from the module....went to JB and found the harness that plugs in there and disconnected it...no constant power after that at the Module...
Tried the Airbag/Horn Pad....didn't change anything....unplugged clock spring...no change....unplugged air bag control module...no change....with Fuse 26 of JB removed, the blower and draw are gone....but for the airbag system to work...I need that fuse back in there....also the horn...
Sounds good....I think we'll see what that horn pad/air bag does...and go from there...unless I happen to stumble onto something else in the meantime:read:
I'll look tomorrow when I'm at the shop...but pretty sure it's cable...it has a white toothed piece on the back of it at the control head....
In your opinion...if the horn continues to blow if the horn relay is installed ....the airbag/horn pad just doesn't feel right to me....and the draw is...
Left battery hooked up overnight (It goes dead if I don't disconnect it!!!)....went out and opened it up...stuck key in ignition and it FIRED RIGHT UP!!!! No dead battery!!! I'm on the right track!!! Still want as much input as you can give tho!!!
Ok...Been digging some more....unplugged C209....have power at 2 pins that have blue with white trace wires....Jump on my ALLDATA (I'd still like to find a full wiring diagram for this pig....But....LOL)...was able to find the diagram in sections (PITA!!!)....
Fuse 25 (Which is the keyed...
Got a chance to grab a perfect used JB from the self pull yard (98 and newer don't seem to make it there very often)...Popped it out...and pulled back cover to make sure...spotless...zero corrosion....so I figured for 17.99...I'd give it a shot....pulled the original JB out...popped the back...
