On mine I installed the front rail (4 hole jobby) in the bottom hole. The back one on mine only has 2 holes make sure it is installed down, so the allthread rod is almost horizontal. I had to heat and bend my shift rod in two spots. '97 Ax-15 w/231

Yup, I plan on living with it for awhile. My tranny was gummy in first from the day it left the lot.

I think Fordyce and the Rubicon are to blame. Couldn't be my driving style. It's just odd that it all started at once, do to a near roll, could something have shifted or bound in the tranny?

Yeah I doubt I'll rebuild. Junkyard or a 3550 or 4500.

Sounds expensive. Rebuild AX 15 = $1500.

It feels like the clutch is good. Shifts good in all gears but first. After it warms up, when I come to a stop and try to engage first it feels like a mechanical block. No grinding, just won't go into first, I have to shut it off or start out in second. :dunno:

I'm ready to upgrade my 29 spline axles to alloy. I was wondering if there is any rumors of an aftermarket upgrade to 'super' kit in the works from anyone. I dont want to buy now and have the 33 spline axles come out in a couple months. thanks

Hey all, Can you just weld skids on with the control arm (RE orbital joint) still in the bracket? Will this fry the nylon in the joint? If you remove arm, weld skids, and then replace arm is there a chance of heat distortion. thanks
