either dead speaker or bad radio....

I have a 01XJ Sport. It has the factory radio that has the cd player with the little graphic equalizer thingy. Anyway my drivers door speaker randomly cuts in and out... it will go for days on, then days off.... and when I pay attention - its not like a bump in the road does it.... or it has to...

Jeep Rock Key and my 01 XJ

nO - I bought 2 to start - one for me and one for the wife (thought she would like it) and I had mine cut (picture of the one in the ignition) and the one for her is still in the baggie (picture of one in the bag). So the extra one I have is new and not out of the bag.... FF

Jeep Rock Key and my 01 XJ

Ok the wife officially decided against hers - so I have an extra - I paid $15 plus tax for it - so you can get it for $15 shipped... (I hope this is ok to post here - figure since I'm losing on it with the tax and me paying the shipping to who wants it - and keeping my wife happy its not just...

Jeep Rock Key and my 01 XJ

I thought Strattec made licensed keys for Jeep (and GM, Ford, etc). It has the Jeep logo on the key I got, and they came from the dealer?? Yeah it is big - my wife isn't sure she wants that big thing on her key ring... for me its not a big deal as I barely carry my keys around with me anyway...

Jeep Rock Key and my 01 XJ

It seems Jeep has been making some *cooler* keys lately for the later models - and they recently released (or atleast came to my attention) a non-transponder Jeep Rock Key. Well I went and got a couple and had one cut to fit my 2001 XJ - and it works like a glove. So now I was able to switch out...

Rubicon Express Shims? (for rear leafs)

Yep your right - the fat end in the front would only make problems worse.... I also bought the longer u-bolts do I need to cut them off or can I leave them long? Thanks!! Fred

Rubicon Express Shims? (for rear leafs)

I'm in the middle of my driveway now with the leafs c clamped and ready to swap out the pins with the new ones and the RE wedge shims... the fat edge goes towards the BACK right? (effectively tipping the front of the diff up to lessen the weird angles...)? Right - I don't want to do this again -...

Rear Leaf shim for the DPG SYE kit install?

i just had my 2001 XJ lifted (full length add a leaf) at a local spring alignment shop (I trust) and it got the driveline vibs... I called DPG and got the SYE kit and I got it with the longer u bolts and the angled shims and eye bolt replacement. My question is replacing the u-bolts no problem -...

01 XJ droopy rear.... need springs....

So if I get the OME rear HD springs from Quadratec... will the stock shocks still work... 3-3.5" sould like a lot of lift over stock

    Heavy-duty leaf springs

Where did you source the Up Country Springs (front and rear) for your XJ? Thanks Fred

01 XJ droopy rear.... need springs....

But if I replace the entire spring with new - that should raise it above the 'stock' height right? If I add a leaf - it might move my 1.5" low truck back near stock height.... Just making sure I have this right... FF

01 XJ droopy rear.... need springs....

What about this - Quadratec carries Old Man Emu rear leafs... http://www.quadratec.com/products/16090_530.htm Supposedly a 2" HD spring. So if it would raise where I'm at 2" that would put me a 1/2" over stock which is fine. OR... If it raises me 2" above the stock height then I need to get...

01 XJ droopy rear.... need springs....

I bought a set of Nokian Vatiiva stock sized 225/75/15 tires... they worked great through the Ohio snow and rain and I was very pleased with them. Not the manly BFGs I wanted.... but great tires for my actual use... first time I actually bought tires for actual use instead of what I thought...

01 XJ droopy rear.... need springs....

Ok I know this topic has been beat in the ground... and I've done the search every day this holiday weekend reading what others have done... and I found a lot of talk about people doing things - but not a ton of follow up reports. Basically I have a 2001 XJ Sport 4x4 4dr. The rear is drooping...
