I know its not got anything to do with the A\C clutch is why i didnt post the other codes thank you. That was the only other code I had besides code 12 which is battery disconnected.

I drove it today up the road and back no problems. I pulled the codes, the only code I got that would have anything to do with fuel-air mixture is an o2 sensor. But I can't understand why sometimes it runs good and other times it won't (especially when I have somebody with me trying to help...

Thank streetxj. One thing I forgot to mention, while in park or neutral it will rev up just fine, drop it into gear and thats when the problem starts.

My Xj is a 96 4.0. My trouble is that when pulling out, and I hit the fuel it goes nowhere stays at idle, engine speed stays the same. I can tap the pedal 10 or so times and it finally picks up. The times I tap the pedal and it don't pick up, it acts like its gonna die. Thinking maybe TPS not...

I have a 96 XJ. I have three problems: 1. At times cruising up the road at 55, it will lose power like you lifted your foot off the pedal and then all of a sudden it will regain power. 2. Also if in a line of traffic like say a drive- thru for awhile it will sputter and die and not restart...

My 96 xj front driveshaft is the double cardigan type. Anybody know what size bolts are used on the TC end of the driveshaft? For some reason the previous owner had it removed when I got it and the bolts are missing. Thanks

So yesterday I had a friend look at my front axle moving, he said jeeps are supposed to do that. I dont see how they are supposed to do that with the axle going one way and the body going the other.

Got my Track bar put in, still have leteral movement in my axle. I think the hole on the axle end mount is wollowed, gonna try to get a bigger bolt and fix this. Onto the LCA bushing, the new bushing shouldn't slide in should it? Does this mean my control arm itself is bad? Thanks for any help.

I have up and down movement at the frame end of my TB. I have a new one on the way, what is the best way to change these? I also have new LCA bushings on the way. Hopefully this cures my problem.

Today I checked some on the XJ. What I found was a LCA that moved sideways on the axle end. I can have someone move the steering wheel while watching the track bar, it moves up and down at the body end. I can grab the trackbar by hand and try to wiggle it and get no movement. BTW checked my...

I noticed when I drove my jeep the other day it wouldnt go into park. I thought the shift cable needed adjusted so I checked it. What I found was the nut and stud that holds the shift selector on the side of the tranny was broke off. Is there any fix for this? I have another transmission to take...

Just for the sake of doing it, I measured crossways from the front wheels to rear wheels. One measurement was longer than the other, like it is not square. Is this something to worry with, or nothing to even take into account.
