I agree. I have a fairly low pain tolerance, but i also have a half sleeve on my left arm, 5 1/2 hours in one sitting. Taking the pain is part of the rush of it. Pop a couple of aleve, bite your tongue and man up. Plus, The topical stuff can mess with the tat.
