Ok this story gets a little odder. So i go back to the parts store to return the hubs that don't fit and see if i can get my old ones back to match new ones to. I got the same guy helping me as last time. He tells me a he's still got my old rotors and he can turn them, the owner told him to tell...

It's a 4wheel drive that's had lots of mods before i got it, lifted 33"s, lockers, exo-cage. Does the 1999-2001 unit bearings include bigger u-joints or some kind of upgrade?
Thanks again, this forum is so helpful it's like having an expert in your back pocket.

I have a '91 cherokee btw.
Thank you everyone!
That solves it, I guess i have the thin rotors? Is that the composite rotors or the cast ones?
From the above post it sounds like composite rotors where used from 1990 to 1999, and cast 1999 to 2001, so why when i got rotors from two different...
I tried two different pairs new rotors and they rub on the inside of the wheel hub. Once I tighten down the wheel spacers they don't turn at all. I even tried removing the brake dust/heat covers but that didn't help. I don't have the old rotors now, once they couldn't be turned I left them at...
You can't possibly have spares for everything and isn't it hard to fix it mid trail?
And when you can't fix it it seems like it would be hard for a tow truck to get to the places your most likely to break. The trails around here are at least a couple hours from home. Will a tow truck take you...
It says "Limited" right on it! That makes it rare!.
In 2001 120,454 cherokee's where sold, I don't know how many of them where "Limited" but from what i've seen plenty if not most where. That's hardly rare. It's only 12 years ago and one of the better selling SUVs of its time.

I love watching youtube videos of wheeling and they often have parts breaking, roll overs that leave the truck all messed up and such. But right after something bad breaks the video stops. I want to know what they did after, especially if it wasn't something they could fix on the trail. How did...
It does have lockers, I haven't opened it up or anything but playing around in the snow i can feel them lock and unlock.
I'm wondering if the rear axle and hole rear setup is off something else, maybe a Grand Cherokee or a Wrangler or something. It does seam to be a dana 35 with drum breaks...
Here are some pictures of the rear suspension, complete with fresh snow packed in. http://goo.gl/X6rxz The sway bars are there just disconnected. Is the rear suspension junk too? Is the stock leaf springs better?
If the the rear suspension is junk too, and the front suspension is junk, the rear...
