Same deal w/ my TPS. It would test fine, w/ analog meter. I replaced it after a year of scratching my head and it's all good now.

ditto. there are two bolts under/behind the bumper. Adjusting the striker is pretty delicate. There is a fine line between no rattles and a hard-to-open door.

Hello, I'm resurrecting an old thread of mine. Does anyone know if there is a relationship between the cruise control system and the tps? If not, is does the cruise system only informed by the vacuum? I probably need a new tps, based on my symptoms. But I'm not sure b/c the tps voltage...

Have you had any luck with this? Mine does the same thing. Works better when the engine is cold, then it's dodgey at running temp and sometimes throws a CEL #45 code. it is a 97.

In my case it indicated a transmission fault. Two of them. I had 45X2. I got rid of one of them: was the NSS. I can't figure out what the other fault is, but it's transmission related.

I had one on the last Jeep. It was $30 at CDN Tire for a winter vinyl cover and a summer bug mesh. It came with about a dozen button snaps to attach it to the grill. I check the CDN Tire website and couldn't find them... but I'm sure a store would ship you one if you called...

After some rough weather, I was able to get working on this again. I pulled the codes from the computer. p0700 & p0705 Code p0705 is the NSS. I took that apart, cleaned it, one code is gone. Sadly, check engine light is not gone. The P0700 code is still there. That is a generic...
