tightening or loosening the belt?

Not trying to highjack... I have an 01 and I have a squeek when I turn the AC on when not moving. If I turn it on when I am moving, there is no squeal. Does this have anything to do with the bearing, or is it just that the belt needs to be tightened/loosened?

I actually spent more than 2 minutes searching. I didn't just search guages b/c I figured I would get several posts. Maybe I should have. Thanks for the links...

I took mine to a local 4x4 shop b/c I didn't ahve the right size bit ot drill press...I gave them 5 bucks, they told me it would could however much it was worth to me...we were both happy!

If you take off the inside trim you could probably push those minor dents out.

Both of mine are like that...So far I haven't had a bulb burn out faster b/c of it. I just leave it. I may be in the market for some clear ones so hopefully that will solve the problem...its on 01
