    xj sports with leather?

does it have detached, ajustable headrests or are the seatbacks and headrests one unit? i've seen leather kits for sale over the years on ebay, basically you pull the old fabric off of the foam and slide this stuff on in its place, for like 200 bucks. could be one of those deals. i'm not aware...

    acetone to remove paint overspray..

make sure you use a clean, NEW razor blade. use a couple of clean ones actually. get the paint off of the end of the blade after each pass.

    Ive got the vibes!!

check to make sure the Ubolts are tight. you sent the whole axle in to get redone i presume. maybe they improperly installed the pinion bearing or something.

    REAR LEAF SPRING LIFT OPTIONS

i'm not the only one giving this "advice" as ecksjay said.

    REAR LEAF SPRING LIFT OPTIONS

the longer shackle works like a bigger lever, thus under compression forces more tension on the factory main leaf.

    REAR LEAF SPRING LIFT OPTIONS

blocks can cause leverage between the axle and the leaves, causing axle wrap, which quickly destroys leaf packs.

    REAR LEAF SPRING LIFT OPTIONS

about 25k on these leaf packs when the picture was taken. i had the origional springs replaced under warranty at 30k because they were so saggy. these are the 2nd set of OE springs in the XJ. i didn't put the shackles on until these springs had 20k on them. within 5k, this is what they looked...

    BFG or Mickey Thompson

i'd pick a tire that's widely avaliable, at almost any tire place. if you tear one up and need a replacement, you want to have a new tire that matches the rest. in a pinch, it could be hard for you to get a mickey thompson tire, i bet you could find a BF goodrich quickly if need be.

    Powertrain Control Module

sounds like a harness. i had my wiring harness and PCM replaced under warranty. from what the dealer said, its a rather-common problem. on 1999s, the gauges have been known to quit, then come back. its a problem with the plug that comes out of the dash and goes into the gauge cluster.

    REAR LEAF SPRING LIFT OPTIONS

shackles are OK on aftermarket springs, but don't ever use them on stock master leaves. they'll bend the soft OE spring steel. shackles seem OK, way better than lift blocks. maybe add a leafs?

    ROCK LIGHTS

like this one, of me :-) http://www.capitaljeeps.com/videos/dynamite44_rocklights.MOV its a .MOV file, which means its quicktime. enjoy. when it comes to rocklights, they're fine if all you run is rocks. i run everything, rocks, mud, water crossings, and my rocklights have suffered because of...

    Budget Boost

don't get a shackle. add a leafs are better. shackles will kill stock leaf packs. don't ask me why i know that.... long add a leafs are preforable. they ride better and more evenly arch the leaves. marty, who runs rocklizardfabrications, has a nice budget boost article on his website.

    ROCK LIGHTS

rocklights? i've got them :-) you can see where i mounted them. i didn't drill any holes, simply removed 1 popclip on each side and throughbolted them. they're the cheapest foglights they sell at walmart, about 15$ for the pair with wiring and everything. that's my most recent picture. the...
