I'm thinking about finding some castoff from the 70's van craze who still does louvers...not three billion all over the hood just a small section of louvered metal.

Used aluminum flashing and just cut the air box more. I noticed a difference.

Three different leaks as it turns out. Replacing all hoses and water pump for good measure...thanks to all! Ball joints are next!

Thanks...my middle name is vague:laugh: anyway...it looks now to actually be front passenger side and gurgles/ sounds like someone taking a leak in the jon when i shut it down.

Turns out it was the trans control module...replaced at 0$...end of this story(thank god!)

Sounds good and even i thought of that...the mechanic actually took my xj to a friend who is a master tech at Keffer Jeep (dealership)...this is not gonna cost me anything and this should figure it out.

I actually paid 1900 for the rebuild...that price included a new torque converter and all new solenoids(three). They say they are gonna keep working on it till the light goes off and they need to as i cannot pass inspection with the light...the jeeps runs great and shifts awesome.

TPS?? Ohh.got it..Throttle position sensor...SCU could be an issue also on mine.
