I just had a major issue with my 89. I just moved from NV where my jeep never actually saw anything resembling real rain....to Wisconsin where I just drove it in it's first rainstorm.
The transmission started behaving exactly as if it were in 1-2 regardless of whether it was actually in 1/2 or...
Doesn't it depend on the state? I remember when I lived in wisconsin, your tires, as measured from the most protruding part of the rubber(usually the middle of the sidewall) could legally extend outside the body by 1 1/2" inches.
I don't remember what year I pulled them from. I just pulled them off and walked over to the xj section to try them out and found out they were the exact same length as the jeeps....
I did have to grind a little plastic off the pillar cover trim to accommodate the beefier ends.
I've had that happen, turned out I had air trapped in the hydraulic line. Try bleeding it like you would a brake line.
I ended up finding a leak in the slave cylinder that was allowing air to be pulled into the system.

I can't see why one couldn't use the condenser as a transmission cooler if you are no longer gonna use the a/c system. Is there any reason why this wouldn't be a good way to re-purpose a condenser section and...
they sure did, but that wasn't the primary reason. Appearance and durability over time is more of a reason. plastic windows scratch easily and discolor over time.
I know people have suggested ford explorer liftgate struts to replace failing xj lift gate struts. They do work, but the ball ends are a little bulkier and you might have to shave a little plastic off the pillar trim around the ball socket end. Also they're just a tad on the short side and...
I found the spring loaded connector had self destructed in my wife's 96. I removed the spring and the white plastic donut, re-assembled and used the thin sleeve as a splint and bound it tight with electrical tape. Works just dandy and cost free-ninety-free.
you can have pretty much any custom paint loaded into spray cans by most automotive paint stores.
I go the cheap as hell route and buy rustoleum colors by the gallon and/or quart. Any color they make in a gallon or quart, they also make in rattle cans....not so much the other way round though.
