Pull the trim at the bottom of the B pillar and see if you have a set of unused connectors there. I can't recall the shape or size, but they would be for the rear window, door lock, and rear dome light switches. Mine was so basic I didn't even have connectors for the rear dome light pin switches.
I did this on my 98, i'm not sure what year you have. But, I made a couple of JY trips when they had a flat rate for everything you can carry out day. From the inside out, I needed to replace the main body harness that runs from driver's kick panel to left rear quarter, under the back seat...
X whatever on using a quality replacement wire. I had to rebuild the rear hatch wiring on my 98. Since then I purchased a tool set that can take apart factory connectors so that I can replace all of the low budget factory wiring. I also used rolls of heat shrink from Harbor Freight to make sure...
I like the rear hatch lights. I had factory lights mounted that way in a Dodge mini van many years ago. I must have missed how you wired them and where the switch is.
I’ve been kind of looking around for Limited front door panels so I can have front door pockets. I’m used to them in my work vehicle for handy items like a flashlight, spare magazines, grab & go first aid pouch and such. While I might not carry all the same items in my Jeep, they are handy. I...
Sounds like you are having a couple of things happening at the same time. You will need the LED turn signal flasher. It's about $12 to $15 at Vatozone IIRC. It should be one combo flasher. After that check your wiring for the aftermarket brake lights. You might have things crossed there.
Go OME. I have a 98 and have similar plans for mine. Dirk at DPG can walk you through the options based on your plans. He will customize the parts. He does not just sell a prepackaged "kit". I ended up going 3 1/2" and I don't regret it at all. I was thinking 2 or 3 at first.
I had a similar issue in my '99. I pulled the wiring harness that runs to the hatch. Several wires had chafed because of the constant bending and shorted out. I rebuilt the harness and everything works again.
Reminds me of my old '69 F100. I had a paneled headliner and door panels.
Maybe you should do the floor next so the 2x4s can slide easier when loading and unloading?
Would the front tires be able to turn with spacers that size? Might need to go wider. At least you can't hydro lock the motor. That sucker would float really well.
Xinfinity on 5-90's cables. I went to HF and spent $10 on new split loom when I did mine. The old stuff was so brittle that it fell apart when I pulled the old cable out. It's so much better (and nicer looking) now.
I did this to my 98. You will need to replace teh main cross body wiring harness. This is a H shaped harness that connects at the driver and passenger side kick panels, runs under the back seat, and then connects at the taillights. You will also (probably) need to get the entire dash harness...
