I just took my 98 to get an alignment after the recent lift, and new tires. They told me that I had worn out parts, and that it couldn't be aligned. They wanted to charge me $50 to tell me what was wrong, so how can I figure it out myself.
I know it's bad to post factory service manuals, but anyone have a copy for a 98 they might want to let me "borrow"? I don't know if there is some etiquette I'm missing, but they seem awfully expensive for information on how to fix a vehicle from the company selling it to us. Maybe I'm wrong...
I'm not sure if they were stock originally. The only thing that I can find that looks like them are american racing outlaw II wheels. They were from a friends wrangler. Did wranglers ever come with rims that looked similar...
I bought it under the impression that I would be able to just have someone calibrate it for me. I do have the electronic speedo, so it sounds like that might be the case. I really hope so. I am a little worried that hardly anyone has used or knows about this.
Has anyone used this sye or set it up? I'm getting ready to install it this weekend. I was wondering about the speedo. It appears that they use a different sensor (tone ring) rather than the normal speedo gear to send the speed signal to the computer. The website says that it can be...
I think I found the rims that i have, but would have to measure the backspacing on them. I think they are american racing outlaw II rims 62 series. They are 15x8. So let me get this straight. If I have enough backspacing it would keep me from rubbing on the inside, and if I setup the...
They are not the stock rims from my xj. They are from a friends wrangler before he switched. They may or may not be stock from that. They are definitely wider than my stock rims thought. I'm looking now to figure out what they are.
I have been thinking of going with 32's instead of the 31's I was originally going to run. How bad will rubbing be with a RE4.5. Its a 1998 sport, and I don't want to do any trimming.
Thanks everyone for your help. I appreciate it. I'll keep you up to date with my progress. I think I have found the answer to the questions about the extreme short shaft kit by teraflex. It appear that in order to shorten the shaft as they do they have replaced that gear with a tone ring and...
Yeah I think you are right the rubicon tc is the nv241, but the xj tc is either a np231 or an nv231 with the only difference being the name. at least I think.
