I agree with the mods suggested above, except that in my case getting a CSF 3 row made my temps go up in stop and go/city traffic during summer, otherwise it was great. It never overheated, but it went up high enough to kick on the electric fan where my leaking OEM rad never did. Supporting mods...
More overall cooling area yes, but in those occasions where flow is what you need the 2 row has an advantage of having larger cores. Its only gotten up to 210 in heavy midtown NY traffic, and stop and go traffic while pulling a trailer. I'll be totally honest and say I dont know how this...
My rad leaked so little I basically replaced it when I wanted to, with a CSF 3 core.
My suggestions:
Dont get a 3 row if you are going to be in stop and go traffic, or pulling a lot through traffic, your temps will go up. Yes they go back down but with a 2row this wont happen as bad.
Do not...
My apologies, I though I had a sig set up. Its a 1999 4.0 4wd Cherokee Classic, 146k, mods include HIDS as mentioned, kenwood radio, 5 channel amp, aftermarket speakers with subwoofer, and aftermarket security and remote start system.
This has been on going for a while but has turned for the worse.
Started out with my power windows not working, all 4 of them. After replacing the breaker (which would get very hot to the touch) in the passenger kick function was restored but only temporarily and partially. With the lock out...
Working in a car audio shop myself, you wont get a quality pager system for $200 installed. You can although get one on ebay for that, give or take a few dollars. If you dont have the Sentry key (gray thick one) then you will have an easier time installing it. My XJ remote start install took...
As time has been passing it looks like there are a lot of components here. For arguments sake lets say MTBracer is correct and I have 3" lift coils, the spacers measure 1.5" so that would give me 4.5" up front.
Out back lets say they are indeed what silverslk said, they are currently set for a...
The front spacers are made of metal, not a big fan of them though, I'm probably scrapping those. Now upon a little research on line I found this image from ericsxj.com which leads me to believe the the rear should be more than 2" of lift.
With that said, can anyone estimate the additional lift...
Pics resized lol, sorry about that.
No control arm and actually I was looking for 3" but I guess I'll deal with 2". I'm finally getting around to doing the suspension, my girls XJ looks like its lowered :( We got it for free and the previous owner wasnt too big on maintenance, the motor has...
I bought this kit today from a boneyard for pretty cheap, I just dont know how much lift it will give me. (sorry about the crappy pix, they are from my phone)
Coils - Measure 22" top to bottom
Spacers - Measure 2" top to bottom
Shackles - Measure 6.5" from center of bottom eye to center of...
It started on the way back from a ~200 mile trip. I heard odd metal to metal sounds, at first it sounded like a wheel well flapping in the wind. I had the Jeep parked up for a couple of months and I just took it out and got a good look.
The fan pulley is wobbling and hitting the pulleys around...
The Jeep just started doing this. I do believe it is temperature related but I do not like it. I let the XJ idle and warm up about 5 minutes before taking it out and so far it has been idling at 40PSI. I drop it in into gear and head off, I have not noticed any patern but then the oil pressure...
