I think I have an Amish guy that will make me a soft top with zip out window for under 200 bucks. I'm gonna take the truck up there and get things finalized just have to wait on him to get caught up. I used to work with him when I built mobile homes.
Well got it out for it's maiden voyage on May 22'nd. I'd have to say that the front leafs worked excellently. I had plenty of flex and the 5.13's were excellent with the 38's. I trimmed up the rear of the bed a little, need to go a touch more as I grooved a tire on the rock. All in all I'm...
I need a 38" tire for a 16.5 rim, don't care about condition as long as it will hold air. Prefer someone local to Northern Indiana or if you can tell me someplace that has a new one in stock within a couple hours drive I'm game. Thanks for any help as I need this for a trip to the Badlands...
Yes I am gonna flip the bolts just didn't have time yet. The rust well it slowly gets cut away lmao I'm gonna paint it this year. I don't have any pics of the crossmember but it is 4x4 angle as you said. They are 4" might just be a softer spring rate as I got them from Rusty's.
Well I got my MJ back on the road finally have to get my bumpers built and bolted on this week. Also need to mount my front shocks but so far it rides and drives great.

lmao crash, I'm not so sure that my 5.13's will be enough for 53's behind the stock 4.0 But if you'll give me a good set for my 38's I'd gladly drop my sbc 406 down in it. :)
XTrm it is time consuming to do it right, if you are staying with stock axles it's a bad idea as coils can do more for you, I did it because I'm using full widths obviously and my new front was setup for leafs and proper center pin measuremtent. I hope to be able to make the leafs work nearly...
Crash that's the reason I asked about moving the axle forward about another 1.5" so the tires would be infront of them. I thought of moving up to a 42" tire but can't afford that at the moment unless I find a trade for my new 38"tsl's. Oh and I do plan on flipping the U-Bolts although I don't...
Well I thought I'd post a couple pics of the current state of my MJ. Lookin for some opinions on optimal shackle angle, before I hear the same as on other boards, the shackles are not finished. They're long so I can shorten without problem, I will cross brace them when length is determined...
Only prob is that the frame angles in right there so I was trying to think of the best way to mount them solid and keep them parallel to the front. Or did you just attach them to the frame behind the angle and extend them forward a small amount.
I've searched this many many times. I've got my front shackle mount setup made. I had planned on redrilling the stock lca bracket for the rear of the leafs. The passenger side would be fine but the drivers side looks like I'd be better off building a new bracket. Does anyone have some words...
