How old are your struts that are on their? My brand new OE replacements hold the hatch open with a Gobi ladder installed on it, which weigh 13 lbs. Might just looking at putting new OEM ones on.

Question for your on the rear lift strut. I have been looking at doing this to my tire carrier after I did not get the pin engaged to keep it from swinging all the way open and the tire put a huge dent in the side of my Jeep.

One issue I have is that my Durango 4x4 Rear Bumper brackets wrap around the frame and bolt to those holes.

I have a 3.5" RE Spring in the rear with a JKS Shackle, with the new Currie Springs and 3/4 spacer in the front.
It is sitting a little low in the rear with heavy bumper and tire carrier as well as gear.
Not only is it sitting lower, it could probably use a little more spring rate.

Does anyone have the compressed and extended lengths for the 5100 Series Bilsteins made specifically for the XJ?
Part Numbers are:
Front - F4-BE5-6241-H7
Rear - F4-BE5-6686-H6
Bilstein lists 4" of lift but no extended and compressed lengths.
