I did do that yesterday. It came up with the cruise error still, but it's not very specific with this OBD1 stuff! ha ha If I get it all sorted out, I'd be happy to share whatever I did to solve it. :cheers:

Luckily, I've got a 95 YJ too. I think I'm going to sell it this spring, so I'm thinking the new owner won't mind intermittent or not on a lifted Wrangler ;-)

Yeah, previously they had low speed intermittent, up to low speed always on, then click on further to high speed always on. I hadn't noticed before because it hadn't rained... I'm thinking I might find more things as the seasons progress.

It just does one speed even in high mode. Also, I just spliced in. That's why it could be a short, since I had to supply 12V pos, if the wiring harness has grounded on something, it'd definitely blow my fuse. I'll cut the harness on the way home (if it's not raining), and see if that works. If...

Yeah, you're right. I just did some digging too. I was looking into using a 4 Ohm and 1 Ohm resistor to made a voltage divider to scale it from 0-5V down to 0-1V, but then I thought I should make sure they output similar to each other, just with a scaling factor. That's not the case (see below)...

That makes sense. Alternatively, has anyone stumbled across a little controller that could be placed in line, so it can convert that signal down to the 0-1V signal? I can weld on another bung to the exhaust, I just feel like it's kind of a waste at that point.

If I were to buy an AEM Wideband O2 sensor, it's got the sensor, a gauge for the dash, but then also a 5V output. Could I wire this up to output the voltage to the PCM in place of the stock one? Or would the range be off? My understanding is the stock one gets power and ground for heating, then...

I must have scrolled to the wrong page then. I'm thinking about making a jumper at the PCM (with a fuse), so I can supply 12V power to pin 48 and 49, then momentarily remove 48. This should bypass the wiring harness, clock spring, and cruise buttons. I could then see if the PCM would control...
